Flights
Skyscanner
My favourite flight search tool! I love Skyscanner’s ‘Everywhere’ feature! Literally, pick when you want to go and it will give you prices for every destination on the dates you select! Superb for travel inspiration, and seeing where you can go within your budget.
Google Flights
Another great place to search for flight deals. I typically start a flight search with Skyscanner and then cross-reference the results with Google Flights to make sure I’ve found the best deal.
Jack’s Flight Club
I’ve found £350 returns to Mexico with this app; a £200 return flight to the USA, and £30 returns to Europe! It’s amazing for spur-of-the-moment flight deals. They have a free and premium version and a 30-day free trial.
Hopper
Every time I book a flight, I always find myself wondering if I’d couldn’ve booked it cheaper. Well, this fab little app will let you know the cheapest time to book flights or hotels, meaning you’ll save money every time!
Accommodation
Booking.com
My first stop for all accommodation bookings, I love Booking.com. They offer both hotels and self-catering accommodation, and they always seem to have pretty good deals. I particularly love the lists section of the app, allowing you to save all your fave hotels for different destinations.
Expedia
The filters for eBookers allow you to narrow down what you’re looking for to fit your budget, location, and board. They have great buy now pay later or pay at the hotel options. Plus, their member deals reduce costs even more.
Hotels Combined
One of the best hotel comparison sites I’ve ever used, if I like a hotel, I always check prices via Hotels Combined. More often than not, they are able to get a cheaper deal, and when they can’t, it’s because I already have it!
Agoda
Agoda is a great site for bookings hotels in Asia and is usually the cheaper option. Even for the rest of the world, it’s a great one to check if you’re looking to save money. They also have some really simple buy now pay later options.
Travel Insurance
World Nomads
Since 2002, World Nomads have been protecting and connecting independent travellers. They offer simple and flexible travel insurance and safety advice. They also enable you to make a difference with a micro-donation when you buy a policy.
safety Wing
Easy to use, and great for a wide range of trips, Safety Wing is another great insurance option. You don’t have to declare where you’re travelling to in advance and they offer a specialist package for nomadic travellers who may be traveling for extended periods of time.
Hey Mondo
HeyMondo offers flexible domestic and international travel insurance policies. It’s easy to set up and you can purchase policies quickly. Plus, they provide 24/7 customer support and have a mobile app that can be used to manage policies on the go.
Getting Around
Discover Cars
I love road trips and the freedom of having a car can make a trip so much more enjoyable. Go wherever you want without worrying about bus routes and stay as late as you want without worrying about bus times! Discover Cars is a great site to find affordable, reliable vehicle hire.
Omio
For booking easy train or coach travel around the world, Omio is my favourite. Simply type in your location and destination and it’ll tell you the easiest ways to get there. Plus, once you book, you can store your tickets on the app for easy access.
12Go
For affordable trains, buses, coaches, private shuttles, transfers, and ferries, you can find some great deals here. You can find affordable rounds around Asia, Europe, and the rest of the world, for instance, Bangkok the Chiang Mai for £4.
Holiday taxis
Book cheap airport transfers all over the world, this is a great tool to get you to your destination. They have a range of options from shared rides with other travellers to a private taxi to take you directly there. They also sometimes give discount codes which help save further.

Get Your Guide
I usually DIY my trips, but when I don’t, I’ll book tours and activities through Get Your Guide. They have a range of ideas for inspiration and their affordable options make day trips much easier.
Trip Advisor
Tripadvisor is one of my most invaluable travel resources. Discovering how other travellers have experienced a hotel, place to eat, or activity can be very useful when planning a trip.

Struggling to know what to pack? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. These are my packing guides and tips for a range of destinations around the world – hot or cold.
Starling Bank
Before every trip, I used to head to the bank to withdraw foreign currency – not anymore! Now, I simply take my Starling bank card and either withdraw abroad or pay by card. It’s so much cheaper and saves the hassle of carrying around lots of cash.
Express VPN
Using public WIFI networks either at cafes, airports, or hotels can be risky. It’s much easier for someone to hack into your device and steal your data. A good quality VPN, like Express VPN, can keep you protected and your data secure.
Google Maps
My go-to app for planning a route, Google Maps is one of my favourite travel resources. You can use the app to plan routes by public transport or by foot and you can also enter multiple destinations at once, then re-arrange them to find the perfect route.
