9 Amazing Places to Stay in London (And the Best Hotels)

Sharing is caring!

Are you planning a trip to London and wondering where to stay? Well, you’re in luck because I’m about to give you the inside scoop on the best places to stay in London.

It’s no secret that London is a pretty big city. So where you base yourself can have a massive impact on the type of trip you have and how quickly you can get to the attractions in the city.

Plus, being one of the most vibrant and exciting cities in England, there are plenty of great places to stay for all travellers and budgets.

So, if you’re wondering which area of London to stay in and the best hotels, here are all of my top recommendations!

1. Covent Garden

Best for: first-time visitors to London.

If you’re looking for a neighbourhood that’s buzzing with energy, then Covent Garden is fantastic. From street performers to high-end boutiques, this is one of the best places to stay in London.

For starters, the location is perfect. You’ll be within walking distance of some of the city’s top attractions, such as the British Museum and the Royal Opera House. Plus Covent Garden is home to several world-famous theatres, including the Lyceum Theatre and the Royal Drury Lane.

But it’s not just about the attractions – the atmosphere in Covent Garden is electric. The streets are lined with pubs, cafes, and restaurants, selling everything from a pint of ale to a plate of tapas. And when the sun goes down, the district comes alive with live music, comedy shows, and more.

Of course, all this excitement comes with a price tag. Covent Garden is one of the more expensive neighbourhoods in London, so be prepared to shell out a bit more for accommodation. However, if you’re willing to splurge, you’ll find some truly amazing hotels here.
