The 10 Best Places to Visit in the Fall

Sharing is caring!

Autumn is a wonderful time to travel. It’s off-peak so prices are LOADS cheaper than in the summertime, you can still catch the sun and also, of course, the leaves changing colour and, (if you’ll pardon the pun) ‘leafing’ beautiful autumn scenery! So many of the best places to visit in the fall are gorgeous, and totally affordable too!

Plus, don’t forget Halloween! Pumpkin carvings, scary stories and there are loads of things to do on Halloween that can add a super fun twist to any trip! So, here are the most beautiful and best places to visit in the fall.

1. New England, USA

New England just HAD to be on this list! You think fall travel destinations and autumn colours and New England’s stunning scenery instantly spring to mind.

3. Copenhagen, Denmark

This Scandinavian city is a delight to visit all year long but in the autumn, it shows its true (orangey-brown) colours!

Plus, Copenhagen’s famous theme park Tivoli Gardens has some super exciting Halloween events.

4. Reykjavik, Iceland

The autumn months are almost definitely the perfect time to visit Iceland. The country has not reached its peak freezing winter temperatures yet, but the scenery is still incredible!

Don’t get me wrong, you’ll totally need a thick winter coat, but winters in Iceland can reach an extremely frosty –10 degrees Celcius. So, you certainly won’t catch the worst of the cold!
